Stage FX | Theatrical Special Effects

Effects as an Integral Part of the Production
Stage FX encompasses special effects specifically developed for dramatic narratives, integrating harmoniously into stage design, directorial concepts, and storytelling. The focus is not on the effect as an end in itself, but rather on its precise function within the production. Whether for a theater production, live show, corporate event, or brand staging – effects are planned to function reliably in live operation and integrate precisely into timing and sequence.
Individual Technical Developments
The spectrum ranges from mechanical, pneumatic, and chemical effects to specialized pyrotechnic applications. This includes, among others, interactive props, triggered special effects, moving stage objects, simulated breakage or destruction effects, as well as custom-made solutions for specific production requirements. Many solutions are developed project-specifically and are precisely tailored to stage setup, safety regulations, and technical conditions.

Planning, Integration, and Production Reliability
Exofire supports Stage FX projects from the initial concept idea through design, testing, and prototyping, to integration into ongoing production operations. Safety concepts, technical procedures, and regulatory requirements are considered early on, ensuring that effects can be implemented reliably and integrated smoothly into existing production structures.
Operation, Handover, and Long-Term Support
Depending on project requirements, Exofire either provides full support during rehearsals and performances or hands over the systems to the production’s local technical team. In the latter case, comprehensive briefings, technical documentation, and, upon request, the provision of consumables and ongoing support are provided. This ensures that Stage FX solutions can be operated safely, reliably, and efficiently in the long term.
